Consent
Send only to people who have agreed to hear from you, in the way they agreed to. Transactional messages such as verification codes, order updates and appointment reminders may go to anyone who asked for the underlying service. Marketing messages need explicit consent that you can show, and must stop when the person asks.
Opting out
Every campaign must give recipients a way to stop. Add numbers that opt out to your account's opt out list, and campaigns skip them automatically. Do not remove a number from that list without a new, clear consent from its owner.
Content and identity
Your sender ID must identify you truthfully and must be registered where operators require it. You may not send messages that are illegal where they are sent or received, that impersonate another person or company, that are intended to deceive, that carry malware or phishing links, or that are harassing or abusive. Content related to regulated goods and services must comply with the rules of the destination country.
Traffic patterns
Verification code traffic that looks like artificially inflated traffic (codes requested in bulk to numbers that never sign up) may be rate limited or blocked, and the account reviewed. Sudden changes in volume to new destinations may be held for review.
What happens on a complaint
Operators and recipients report unwanted messages to us. We investigate every report. Depending on what we find we may ask you for evidence of consent, block a sender or destination, suspend sending, or close the account. Serious or repeated abuse ends the agreement without refund of unused credits.
If you received an unwanted message that came through our platform, forward it with the sender and the time to hello@siellabs.com. We will act on it and will not share your details with the sender.
